Giving 400 Foster Children a Better Holiday
Yavapai County locals have teamed up with Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation in the spirit of giving to gift nearly 400 local foster children a better holiday.

‘Tis the season to be jolly, ALREADY? For many the holidays are filled with excitement, family, and delicious foods. It truly is “the most wonderful time of the year.”
However, for some, it can be a dark and dreary period.
For about 400 foster children in Western Yavapai County, this often is their reality. During this season, they are reminded of how they aren’t like other kids, how lonely they feel, and what they lack.
Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation (YC4KF) is a Prescott based nonprofit who has dedicated a program to alleviating some of what these children experience, during this time.
“The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie in Prescott have donated over $25,000 in toys and bikes to Yavapai County’s foster children over the last 7 years.”
Local Joy Bringers
Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation’s 7th annual Holiday Gift Drive makes sure local foster children experience joy, this holiday season.
The Foundation puts up collection boxes around the county, similar to Toys for Tots. They then collect all the gifts, set them up at the Fraternal Order of Eagles headquarters in Prescott, and invite individuals and families to “shop” for free gifts for their foster children.
This effort wouldn’t be successful without the help of community members, just like you. Especially the members of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie; who, for the last 7 years, have allowed YC4KF to use their headquarters for the “shop” and donated over $25,000 in bikes and toys to the cause.
